The year 2018 was a special year for Team WOM ASIA: We celebrated the 5th anniversary of its founding in Hong Kong, hired another team member, and moved into new office space.
The Idea of BigShoe “Doing good and Football”: When would this fit together better than in the year of a World Cup? BigShoe founder Dr. Igor Wetzel had just returned from South Africa from a trip to children undergoing surgery, as the initiators of the aid organization and their supporters – including, of course, WOM – met in Wangen in the Allgäu. On the occasion of this year’s World Cup in Russia, eleven children could be helped who now have a chance of a carefree life.
In October an event of the annual symposium series ‘Trends in Minimally Invasive Medicine’ took place for the fourth time, topic this year: ‘Digitization in the OR’. It is a cooperation of the Technische Universität Berlin, Department of Medical Technology, Berlin Partner as well as WOM and offers an exchange between experts from medicine and medical technology.
In 2018, WOM was represented for the tenth time at the training fair in Kronach. More than 80 regional companies provided the opportunity to help with career choices.
