Software projects rarely end the way they were initially planned. The experience with the development of complex projects in medical technology shows: During the process, requirements often change unexpectedly and significantly. Rigid approaches are slow and costly in finding a solution. WOM therefore relies on a method that is designed to be flexible and allows for changes even during the course of the project: agile product development.
The sales colleagues were able to present a novelty at the MEDICA 2018 in Düsseldorf in November: Schölly and WOM, the two market leaders for endoscopic equipment in the OEM area (original equipment manufacturer or OEM), are now distributing selected standard products in a uniform design.
WOM has a long tradition of presenting the products of the year in a mix of retrospect and outlook. At the in-house Top Launch Party 2017, the teams of our core competencies, Insufflators & Pumps and Cameras & Photonics, presented their highlights at the end of the year.
With the European Innovation Impact Award 2017, WOM can already enjoy their second high-profile innovation award in 2017. After the success at TOP100 in the summer, WOM innovation manager Nina Spiri accepted the award at the end of September at the first ideasEurope conference, in Brussels.
