WOM passed the ISO 14001: 2015 certification by TÜV Rheinland in June. The environmental management system for the GmbH, i.e., the locations Ludwigsstadt and Berlin, has been certified since 2009 according to the international standard ISO 14001: 2004. With the amendment of 2015, the requirements have increased again, so that the preparations for the audit were intensive and extensive – and have paid off, as the result proves.
What are our companies really all about, what do we strive for, what criteria do we use? Values are like a beacon in the company, providing orientation and creating cohesion. Potentially new colleagues are given the opportunity to compare their own values with those of the company.
Sustainability is a very important topic at WOM. For years now, we have anchored our responsibility towards employees, the environment, and future generations in our mission, because we are firmly convinced that only a sustainable company is fit for the future.
Prohibiting child labor, environmental protection, decent working conditions – these are only three examples of many ethical aspects that are important to WOM in business relations. As a globally active producer of medical devices, we are part of international supply chains and pay close attention whomever we work with.
