On Saturday, October 14, this year’s Trainee Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at WOM in Ludwigsstadt – an attractive mixture of behind the scenes glimpses of medical technology and a colorful Oktoberfest.
WOM Ludwigsstadt uses state-of-the-art production processes to manufacture equipment and accessories for medical technology and exports them all over the world. The department with the most employees is at the Oberfranken location – the certified cleanroom facility with more than 80 employees, in which plastic parts are manufactured, assembled, and packaged under very special conditions.
Sandy Paschold, who has been working for WOM in the cleanroom area for over 7 years now, reports on what exactly a cleanroom is and what it is like to work in such a facility.

Members of Novanta management have visited the production site in Ludwigsstadt after the takeover in July. Matthijs Glastra (CEO) and Brian Young (CHRO) from Novanta and WOM Managing Director Oliver Kupka met on the occasion of the exchange with the local mayor.
For the sixth time, WOM is awarding a VW up! to its best trainee in the second year of training. That means a car free of charge for one year – with insurance and fuel costs included!
