Close collaboration with doctors and clinics is particularly important in the process of product innovations in medical technology. Creative ideas and further development of products have the greatest potential if they are initiated in close and direct exchange with the users from the clinic. The Gynecology Clinic at Vivantes Klinikum Neukölln is the most important partner for WOM in the area of hysteroscopy. Since 2007, a trustful cooperation has been built with the aim of improving the handling of the devices, optimizing treatment quality and, above all, increasing patient safety.
The clinic has been officially named the WOM Hysteroscopy Excellence Center as a sign of this special connection and appreciation. WOM thanked the clinic staff for the excellent cooperation during an official ceremony.
PD Dr. Uwe Torsten, Chief Physician at the Gynecology Clinic, has worked with WOM for years to improve the quality for managing TUR syndrome. A doctoral thesis and clinical studies were initiated jointly, for example. As one of the essential milestones in the development of pumps for hysteroscopy, Dr. Torsten especially emphasizes the improved measurement of the fluid remaining in the patient’s body (TUR syndrome).
