When terms such as pin shot, jet or snake technology are soon being thrown around at WOM, it is not about the latest medical technology developments but simply the most important football shooting techniques. “Foosball” tables have arrived at the Ludwigsstadt and Berlin sites. But this is not all about having fun during breaks. The collected game money is doubled at the end of the month by the company and donated to the charity BigShoe e.V. from the Allgäu.
The BigShoe initiative uses major football events to make it possible for sick children to receive urgent operations since 2006. Through sponsorships and generous donations, over 1,200 children have been helped to date.
The Berlin foosball table was broken in by managing directors Dr. Clemens Scholz and Oliver Kupka with great physical exertion, but in strict compliance with tournament rules. Since this is all about a good cause, the outcome of the game is irrelevant, of course, and subject to confidentiality.
The offline game fun working completely without electricity is already a favorite among the employees and at the same time benefits BigShoe.
