Music, dance, community, and good food – these were the buzzwords of the WOM Christmas celebrations again this year. At the locations in Berlin, Ludwigsstadt, Reichenbach, and Orlando, the employees celebrated the beginning of the Christmas season together.
To accompany an entire project, working independently but not left alone to deal with problems – this is the dream of every trainee. And actually the right of a trainee, that’s what we believe at WOM! For Rike, it was the preparation of the important medical technology fair Arab Health. Rike completed an apprenticeship as an office management assistant at the Berlin office and is now in her third year of training. “How fast time passes,” she laughs as we review the last few months.
How can young talents filled with optimism straight out of university be motivated and integrated into a job at the highest level? What are the problems and solutions for training during the daily routine of a hospital day, and which training instruments point to the future? At the “Trends in Minimally Invasive Medicine” symposium, specialists from medical technology companies and clinics met at the Ludwig Erhard Haus building, in Berlin, to present their approaches and discuss them with the guests.
What would I like to do with my life? Which profession suits me? To make deciding whether to apply for a training place easier, WOM organizes a Trainee Day every year in Ludwigsstadt that provides young people and their parents with an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of medical technology. On Saturday, October 14, numerous visitors came to the event and experienced an attractive mixture of a company tour and a colorful Oktoberfest.
