WOM is aware of its responsibility as a company. The fact that we are a medium-sized company with not even 500 employees around the world does not stop us from orienting our strategies and activities according to the principles of a sustainable global economy. Rather, it is important to us to set an example and lead by example – even on a small scale. This is fully in line with our principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which have become an important part of our entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
The UN Global Compact stipulates these objectives for responsible corporate leadership on a global scale and has created 10 principles as a basis. We support these requirements for a future-oriented economic system, which is dedicated to the subjects of human rights, labor standards, environment and climate but also to prevent corruption.
As a member of UN Global Compact, we are obliged to document progress in implementing the 10 principles and our activities to promote sustainable development in an annual Communication on Progress (COP) report. The COP is intended for business partners, customers, and suppliers and is mainly an incentive used to continuously improve business activities. In addition to transparency, however, it also promotes mutual learning through the dissemination of good practices.
