Prohibiting child labor, environmental protection, decent working conditions – these are only three examples of many ethical aspects that are important to WOM in business relations. As a globally active producer of medical devices, we are part of international supply chains and pay close attention whomever we work with.
Just as we take corporate responsibility towards our customers very seriously, we also feel obliged to make sure our suppliers apply sustainable actions as well as correct business practices and integrity.
The Purchasing and the Legal Department have therefore developed the WOM Supplier Code of Conduct, which is a binding guideline for our business partners. It is based on the principles of internationally recognized standards for responsible corporate management. These include, for example, the Global Compact of the United Nations, the guidelines for multinational enterprises of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as well as the labor and social standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The WOM Supplier Code of Conduct is provided directly to our business partners as an integral part of all contractual arrangements and is also available on our website.
